Initially, there's only one "Default" category. But you can create your own, here's how.
Set-up
- Log into your Twelve Ticketing back-office and click on Seating plans in the left menu bar.
- To edit an existing seating plan form the list, click on it (seat categories can only be created for an existing seating plan).
- Then click on "Seat categories" in the left menu bar.
- Initially you will have this:
- To add a seat category, click on the "+ Add seat category" button.
A modal window will appear allowing you to assign your category:- a name (your ticket buyers will see it so make it nice and understandable)
- a color (which will be reflected on the seat map)
- an order for your category to appear on the online shop. This will be useful if you are using the Best Available Seat algorithm (VS Manual selection) for your seating, since customers will only select a category, not their specific seat.
You can repeat this process as many times as you have categories:
⚠️ At this stage, you have created your seat categories, but they do not contain any seat yet: all seats are still in the default one. You can now go and assign categories to seats in the price mapper. Once this is done, you can come back and delete the default category once empty.
