How do I link my design to a ticket?

Modified on Wed, 24 Apr 2024 at 10:30 AM

This article explains how a custom ticket design can be linked to a ticket. This can be linked at different levels, namely seller level, event level and ticket level.

If no ticket template is set, the standard ticket design will automatically be added to all tickets.

Do you want to create a ticket template? Then you can go to one of these articles: Ticket Design General Information

Ticket designs can be linked on three levels.

  1. Seller level
  2. Event level
  3. Tickettype level

Higher levels overwrite the lower levels.

Example: when you set a design on an event level, but also set a design on a specific tickettype level, the tickettype will get the design appointed on the tickettype level.

Seller level

Seller level is the lowest level, this level is applied to all tickets sold and is therefore applied as standard to every event.

You can add a ticket template at seller level in the settings tab in the leftmost column, and then in the 'Formats' tab in the second column from the left. There is a whole list of 'Document Format' options to link the ticket template to.

Most of this list is not important, as they are all slightly different sizes than necessary. That is why it is only important to focus on: A4 (digital), APPLE (wallet) and GOOGLE (wallet).

You can add a template by clicking on the button with the pencil on the right side of the line. Using the search bar below it is then possible to find the template that was created for this type of 'Document Format'.

After selecting a design, it is important to also click on the blue 'Save' button at the bottom left.

Event level

Event level is the middle level, so the ticket templates are linked to a specific event.

In this case, you can link the ticket templates to the event to which they need to be linked. This can be done at the event under the 'Ticket templates' tab in the second column from the left. At the very bottom of this page is a list of all 'Document Format' options to link the ticket template to.

Ticket level

Ticket level is the highest level, so the ticket design is really linked to 1 specific ticket type.

These can be linked to the ticket types, then go to the edit mode of the ticket type to which a ticket template must be linked. At the bottom of the 'Ticket' tab there will be a list of 'Document Format' options to link the ticket template to.
