Sometimes it is necessary to change a visitor's e-mail address. For example, when a ticket buyer has entered an incorrect e-mail address or no longer has access to the entered e-mail address. Email addresses can then be changed in the Boxoffice (operator.twelveticketing.eu)
Each account must have a unique email address. If a ticket buyer has already placed an order with the correct e-mail address in the past, the incorrect e-mail address cannot be changed to this correct address because two accounts will then be created with an identical address. When trying to change the email address, it fails to save. At the bottom of this article it is explained what can be done in this case.
The steps below explain how to change the email address:
- Navigate to 'Customer management'
- Look up the relevant customer by first name, last name or e-mail address (in this case search on the incorrect e-mail address).
- The accounts that match the search term are displayed.
- Click on the relevant customer.
- The customer information is displayed in the screen on the left.
- Change the email address.
- Scroll down and fill in the fields marked with *. If this information is not known, a . being filled in.
- Press 'Save Changes'.
- If the changes cannot be saved, this means that an account with the entered e-mail address already exists. Each account must have a unique email address. It is therefore not possible to create two accounts with the same email address.
What should I do if an e-mail address cannot be changed?
If the visitor has entered an incorrect e-mail address and this person has previously placed an order with the correct e-mail address, the e-mail address cannot be changed.
